Alfred Leadbeater was an Alderman of the City of Birmingham Council. During his lifetime he amassed a considerable personal fortune and, on his death, left a sizeable portion of this wealth in a charitable trust to be managed by his family. The purpose of this fund is to continue Alfred’s passionate commitment to improve the education, health and welfare of children and young people across the West Midlands.
Charles, Diana and Jaimie Henderson are the fifth and sixth generation of Alfred’s descendants; they run and administer the charity and are supported by three trustees with experience of health and education projects across the Midlands.
